Description
3D MODEL COMPRESS SOFTWARE AND 3D GAUSSIAN SPLATTING MODEL OPTIMIZER
GLB, GLFT, AND PLY FOR FILES WITH EXTENSIONS
With 3D Compress PRO, the size of your 3D files is reduced by up to 10 times, providing a faster 3D virtual tour experience.
The most important aspect of VR tours is that the virtual tour opens quickly in the browser and is fast to use. That’s why compressing 3D files is important.
You can compress and add your .glb or .glft files into 3D Vista.
You can compress .ply files and use them as Gaussian splats in 3D Vista. (3D Gaussian Splatting Modeli Optimizer)
DEMO VIDEO : https://vimeo.com/1126457001?share=copy
Test results:
Compressed a 550 MB 3D file to 35 MB,
Compressed a 31 MB 3D file to 4 MB,
Compressed a 45 MB 3D file to 7 MB, reducing its size.
With the Split Screen feature, you can compare the quality difference between the compressed file and the original file at the same time.
The software includes a system that separates .glb extension 3D files into texture files. You can separate them, create a zip file, and then perform the compression process.
You can quickly view your 3D files with the 3D Viewer.
After purchasing this software, you can install it in 5 minute with the detailed documentation file.
Conditions: Compression is performed on 3D files with the .glb .glft ve .ply file extension. If you have 3D files with extensions such as fbx, obj, you will need to convert them to the .glb .glft ve .ply extension using software such as Blender.
HOW TO INSTALL ?
The software is viewed through a browser (Chrome, Edge, etc.). Therefore, it works with a quick installation process. You need to install the software on localhost and run it in your browser. Localhost is a local address that opens on your own computer, accessible via the link http://localhost in your browser. There are many programs available online for running Localhost. Some of these include UwAmp, Xampp, WampServer, and AppServ. These software programmes are free of charge. We recommend UwAmp for beginners. The document file explains in detail how to install it.
WHY IS 3D COMPRESS NECESSARY?
– 3DVista project files take up less space on your disk with smaller file sizes.
– You can edit your 3D virtual tour faster.
– You can ensure faster loading of 3D files.
– It provides very fast viewing for augmented reality.
– Your website loads faster when you add 3D files.
– It provides faster usage for your virtual tour or website visitors.
3D GAUSSIAN SPLATTING MODEL OPTIMIZER
The Gauss Splatting model optimiser reduces the size of .ply files by decreasing their quality. It works differently from the GLB/GLFT Compress process. Gauss Splatting models are reduced by decreasing the number of splats or vertices. Excessive reduction can significantly compromise the quality of the model. It is recommended to select a quality setting of 50% or higher. You decide what percentage of reduction to apply within the software.

Incredible space saving – a must-have tool for Virtual Tours!
3D Compress PRO truly impressed me. I managed to reduce .glb files from 500MB down to just 35MB with almost no visible loss in quality. My virtual tours now load much faster and run smoothly, even on mobile devices.
The compression process is simple, fast, and delivers outstanding results.

First impressions of 3D Compress PRO for 3D Vista tours
I work in IT and build VR tours with 3D Vista, and 3D Compress PRO has made a strong first impression. It delivers meaningful size reductions—especially on textures—which translates into quicker tour downloads and noticeably smoother playback in the browser. The standout for me is compatibility: unlike other tools I’ve tried that reduce polygons/textures but produce files 3D Vista won’t accept, 3D Compress PRO’s output is recognized without issues. Being able to compress and add GLB/GLTF assets directly, and compress PLY files for use as Gaussian splats in 3D Vista, fits my workflow perfectly.
Quality holds up well for the smaller file sizes, and 3D Vista’s rendering engine really helps keep visuals looking decent after compression. It’s also fast to use for client deliveries—drag, compress, ship—so it saves me time, which I value a lot. Support has been excellent too: the developer responded to my questions quickly and professionally and helped resolve a couple of problems right away.
Caveats: I still need to run deeper tests on polygon reduction settings; so far I’ve mainly validated the texture/asset size gains. I’m also excited to push further into Gaussian splatting, which I think will be a real step change for web VR. Overall, if you use 3D Vista and care about faster load times without sacrificing too much quality, 3D Compress PRO is absolutely worth trying.

“With 3D Compress PRO, the size of your 3D files is reduced by up to 10 times, providing a faster 3D virtual tour experience.” – is utterly misleading, the so called script does nothing to the 3D model but simply resizes and compresses the textures, something VTPRO already does by default. My verdict is backed by 25+ years of experience in 3D and coding field. This script was written with AI, it is dressed as a “sophisticated” tool but the whole logic of it is in 270 lines of code, Unzip/Compress-Resize Textures/Zip. This tool has zero advantages in your GLB/GLTF workflow unless you want an image resizer for 120Eur. Just like it “compresses” x10 times, it should be x10 times cheaper.
I have reported this author for purposely selling this as a 3D model compressor/optimizer but in reality is not, you can call it as you wish but it’s a bad consumer practice and in many EU countries this would breach consumer rights.
