Description
StripFlow — Horizontal & Vertical Transitions
What is StripFlow?
StripFlow is an editable interface and animated transition pack for 3DVista Virtual Tour.
It combines a ready-to-use skin with eight full-screen strip transitions. Animated strips enter the screen, cover the view and slide away to reveal the next panorama or information window.
Use the included project as a starting point for your own virtual tour, or adapt its skin elements to suit your existing design.
What’s included in the ZIP?
pasyen.vtp— the editable 3DVista project with an English-language interface.media/— the source panoramas used in the demonstration project.skin/— supporting interface images and assets.readme.txt— the English user guide, covering setup, transition selection and customization.
The project includes:
- A top navigation bar with an editable logo and branding.
- Dropdown menus and panorama navigation.
- Information windows with close buttons.
- Full-screen, sound and help controls.
- An interactive transition selector with an active-effect caption.
- Separate desktop and mobile layouts.
- Built-in English instructions.
Eight animated transitions
Each transition uses five strips.
Horizontal strips:
- Move right.
- Move left.
- Alternating directions.
- Centre-out sequence.
Vertical strips:
- Move down.
- Move up.
- Alternating directions.
- Centre-out sequence.
In the centre-out variants, the middle strip starts first, followed by the neighbouring strips and then the outer strips.
How to use it
- Extract the entire ZIP into a folder on your computer. Keep the included folder structure intact.
- Open
pasyen.vtpin 3DVista Virtual Tour. - Allow 3DVista to generate panorama previews if prompted.
- Start Preview to explore the interface.
- On desktop, open Transitions in the top navigation bar. On mobile, open Menu → Transitions.
- Select an effect to preview it. Your selection will also be used for subsequent panorama changes and window openings during that tour session.
- Open Options → How to use the tour for the built-in instructions.
A new session starts with the default horizontal transition moving right.
Customize it for your own tour
The interface is built with native 3DVista Skin elements, with supporting JavaScript actions for transition selection and timed panorama changes.
You can customize the logo, colours, fonts, text, menus, windows and strip appearance in the Skin editor.
To build your own tour:
- Save a separate copy of the included project.
- Add your own panoramas and remove the demonstration scenes when they are no longer needed.
- Update panorama buttons, thumbnails and actions to reference your own scenes.
- Edit the information windows and branding.
- Check both desktop and mobile layouts in Preview before publishing.
When modifying animation timing, keep the strip entrance, exit, panorama change and window-opening actions synchronized.
Important notes
3DVista Virtual Tour is required to open and edit the project. This package is an editable project template, not a standalone application or an automatically installed skin.
Keep the source media with the project. Copying only the .vtp file may leave external panorama files unavailable.
Transitions use fixed timing rather than waiting for every panorama texture to finish loading. Test your finished tour on the devices and connection speeds you intend to support.
